Sheetz Food is Better than Wawa Food
The first reason why Sheetz is better than Wawa is that the food is simply better. The Sheetz menu has plenty of food options, and the food itself tastes better. The breakfast sandwiches at Sheetz are legendary, while the breakfast sandwiches at Wawa are… well, they’re just not as good. T
While I’ll admit the Gobbler calls my name when I see a sign for Wawa along the highway, overall their food just isn’t as good. Not only is the food better, but there are many more options. Good luck finding French toast sticks that are actually great anywhere besides Sheetz. This is no shame for Wawa. They would stack up well with just about every other gas station that isn’t Sheetz.
Sheetz Has Drive-Thrus
Wawa does not. Well, actually they are just now starting to get a few in 2022, but Sheetz has had them for years.
This is a big one. If you’re in a hurry and don’t want to go inside, you can just drive through at Sheetz. Wawa does not have this option, so you’re stuck going inside no matter what.
In the winter, this is a huge deal. You can go to Sheetz and get their delicious food (even more delicious than Wawa) without feeling the cold weather. And we know both Sheetz and Wawa are in cold weather areas.
Sheetz Drink Selection is Superior
The drink selection at Sheetz is much better than Wawa. First of all, they have a wider variety of fountain drinks. And not only that, but you can also get frappes, smoothies, and milkshakes with a much wider range of variety at Sheetz. You can’t get any of those at Wawa.
Wawa does have a wider selection of iced coffees and teas, but they’re just not as good as Sheetz. And the fact that you can’t get frappes, smoothies, or milkshakes is a dealbreaker for many people.
Sheetz Has More Rewards and Discounts
Sheetz has a loyalty program called “MySheetz Card” where you can get discounts and earn rewards. Wawa has a similar program called “Wawa Rewards,” but it’s not nearly as good.
The MySheetz Card gives you 3 cents off per gallon of gas, and if you use it enough, you can get free food and drinks. The Wawa Rewards program doesn’t give you anything nearly as good as that.
Best of all, when you earn enough rewards, you get to become a Sheetz Freak! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve benefited from showing off my Sheetz Freak status.
This is probably the biggest reason why Sheetz is better than Wawa. The rewards and discounts that Sheetz offers are simply superior, and there’s no denying it.
Sheetz Has Dining Areas
Many of you may say, well I’m never going to eat in a gas station. Well, if you are at a Wawa, you couldn’t if you wanted to.
The Sheetz dining area is mostly a place for high school or college kids to wreak havoc, but these have definitely come in handy for me a time or two. A couple of times I’ve made an impromptu stop at them to take down a Sheetz sub.
Wawa Does Have its Advantages
Again, taking an L against Sheetz is nothing to be ashamed of. If you need a cup of coffee or want to get some flavorful iced tea, Wawa is the place to go. On top of that, they generally have lower gas prices.

In conclusion, Sheetz is better than Wawa for many reasons. The food is better, there are more options, Sheetz has drive-thrus, the drink selection is superior, there’s that awesome curbside pickup and Sheetz has more rewards and discounts. Wawa does have its advantages, but overall, Sheetz is the better option.
